If you’re keeping it for a party, freeze them all for a nice effortless dessert so guests arrive just in time.Cheesecake is one of those recipes that can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be. Making cheesecake at home can be very simple with the right technique and attention to detail. In this post, I will show you how to make the best old fashioned cheesecake with step-by-step instructions.

Step#01:

It might be tempting to take the cheesecake out of the grill, put it in the fridge and take a few steps; but it will not fit and the consistency will be lost.

Step#02:

When your cheesecake has completely cooled, it’s time to freeze. If you are freezing separate portions, cut the cheesecake and wrap each piece in cling film. If you are freezing the whole cake, place it on a cardboard or round plate before covering it with cling film.

Step#03:

Wrap it in plastic wrap, then wrap it back in aluminum foil. Repeat until all slices are well wrapped. Freeze for up to a month (or two if you are not meticulous about quality control).

When you’re ready to eat, let the cake thaw at room temperature for 2 to 4 hours or in the refrigerator.

Although I love to travel, I am a host in my heart, so after spending 15 days in Los Angeles .it feels good to be at home! And although I was still struggling with a severe case of jet lag, I couldn’t resist sneaking into the kitchen and cooking us something sweet. But I haven’t faced the grocery store yet, so I had to stick with the ingredients I had.

The cake wrapped in plastic will last three days in the refrigerator. It will last five days if you have an airtight container you can put in it. Chilling the leftover cake is best when you plan to eat it soon. When you have a few slices of cake left, we like to freeze it in place and it’s like a precious gem kept in a safe place or for a rainy day.

Freezing the remaining cake will keep the slices three weeks. You can freeze a whole cake and it will take four to six weeks.

Defrost your frozen leftover cake in the refrigerator overnight. In a hurry, individual slices can be opened on the counter within thirty minutes.
